Abstract | ||
This research studies and analyzes some planning theories through a sonic viewpoint, applying on the new cities in Egypt , Then it shows the effect of the different elements of landscape architecture (soft & hard landscape elements ) in protecting cities from noise that caused by auto movement axis with it’s different levels . After that, the study proceeded to the practical part, which discusses the main sources of the noise in one of the new cities – 6th October City - in view of the fact that it’s one of the most growth and development cities in Egypt – which included inner and outer vehicle movement axes, and the industrial zone of the city. This study includes surveillance and measurements of different levels of noise in these axes, through a comparative approach with the international standards and Criteria, in addition to the survey of the existing solutions to achieve the min. level of noise. Finally it suggested a group of architectural and landscaping Recommendations which aim to realize the comfortable sonic environment in these cities. | ||
