Abstract | ||
Two3D-supramolecular coordination polymers (SCP); {[SnMe3(bpe)] [Ag(CN)2].2H2O}, 1 and {[CuI(CN2(phen)CuII(CN)2(phen)].5H2O}, 2 have been synthesized and characterized by physicochemical and spectroscopic methods. The structure of 1 consists of cationic {-Sn(Me3)-bpe-} chains that are neutralized by [Ag(CN)2]- anions. The dicyanoargentate anions present discrete uncoordinated fragments between the cationic chains. The water molecules bind the cationic chains and the anions forming 3D-supramolecular structure through hydrogen bonds. The most intriguing feature in the structure of 2 is the unusual supramolecular interactions, including hydrogen bonds which involve the terminal cyanide and the phenanthroline (phen) ligands and π–π stacking which generate a unique 3D-supramolecular architecture in the solid state. The SCP 1 and2 exhibit good catalytic activity for the formation of substituted triazoles. In this case, the SCP 1 and 2-catalyzed alkyne–azidecycloaddition provide 1,4-disubstituted1,2,3-triazoles with such efficiency and scope that the transformation has been described as “click” chemistry. | ||
