Abstract | ||||
The splendor of Coptic pottery IS mainly due to its environmental and religious aspects. But, little is known about that pottery despite of all the efforts in the researches on Late Roman Pottery Egypt made several great scholars such as Hays!’, Petrie”, Egloff(3), Winklock(4), Jackpuet” and Rodziewicz.i’” In addition, the researches on the Christian potteryinEgypt are still uncompleted. This paper attempts to focus on Coptic pottery from Kharga Oasis trying to trace the artistic role played by local potters in that southern part of Egypt during the Christian era. It is worthy mentioning here, that the excavated pottery from Kharga are extremely valuable in studing the optic potery from egypte | ||||
