Abstract | ||||
Abstract Cirrhotic ascites is the most complications among cirrhotic patients .The Aim of the study: To identify the effect of the designed nursing protocol on minimizing complications of cirrhotic ascites. Quasi-Experimental research design was utilized in this study .This study was conducted in the internal medical and tropical departments at Minia University and general hospitals. Patient and methods: A convenient sample of 60 patients was included in this study. Data collected by interview questionnaire sheet which consists of three tools 1: patient's assessment sheet , tool 2: the designed nursing protocol, tool 3 the evaluation sheet. The results: Level of knowledge between both groups(study and control) , it found that the majority of the study group was satisfactory level (56.7%). There were highly statistical significant differences in relation to level of practice in both groups, the majority of the study group was (90%) satisfactory level of practice, Conclusion: patient's knowledge skills related to ascites and how to minimize it's complications were improved after application of protocol than before. Recommendation: teaching and instructions in all hospitals directed toward importance of proper practice which dealing with complications of Ascites & means of it's prevention. | ||||
