Abstract | ||||
A total of 110 (Quterinx quail) and 90 Anas Platyrhynhos (Mallard ducks) were collected by hunting from various localities in Sinai. Tracheal and cloacal swabs, lung and liver specimens were subjected to bacteral and mycological examination. Bacterial isolates were E. coli, Salmonella spp < /em>., Pseudomonas spp < /em>., Corynebacterium sp < /em>p < /em>., Staph.epidermidis, Staph. albus and Lactobacillus spp < /em>. Mycotic isolates were Aspergillus flavus, Aspergillus fumigatus, Mucor spp < /em>. and Candida albicans. From the obtained results its is obivous that migratory birds may harbour some pathogenic bacteria and fungi. | ||||
