Abstract | ||
The synthesis of some novel non- carboxylic heterocyclic derivatives of flurbiprofen such as pyrazole , pyrrole , oxadiazole, oxadiazines, and triazoles, is described. Structure of the new compounds was elucidated by spectroscopic data and microanalysis. Three representative compounds were tested for analgesic, antipyretic, and anti-inflammatory activities. The pyrazole derivative VIII displayed greater antipyretic activity but lower analgesic and anti-inflammatory activities compared to flurbiprofen. However, the other two compounds were , in general, less potent than flurbiprofen. | ||
