| Abstract | ||
| Pigeons infested with feather mites (Megninia columbae) and lice (Colum bicola columbae) were injected intramuscularly or subcutaneously or topically treated with ivermectin. A single injection of ivermectin (200 ug/kg) either intramuscularly or subctaneously was inadequate to eliminate the Megninia columbae within 7 days. Topical aplication of ivermection 0.1% eliminated both mites and lice within 3 days. | ||
