Abstract | ||||
Dakahlia Governorate comprises archaeological churches and Monasteries belonging to St. George the Roman, which dates back to the fourth century AD, represented in the Church of st. George in in Sehjar al-Kubra, the the Church of st. George in Mit Ghamr, and the monastery of St. George in Mit - Damsis. They are first-class archaeological sites, although they have not been exploited so far in tourism revitalization. Therefore, this research aims to shed light, aim and reveal these archaeological sites in the governorate to work on archaeological tourism revitalization and promote them in tourism and work to recognize the challenges enduring these archaeological sites and handle them. The experimenter will also study those churches from an architectural point of view, clarifying the most important spottings in them and capitalizing on them as important elements in the tourist attraction of Dakahlia Governate.
