Abstract | ||||
The historical exhibition of the Suez Canal Authority in Ismailia represents an important era in Egyptian history, from the beginning of the idea of linking the Red and Mediterranean seas and the Sesostris Canal. All the way to the modern Suez Canal and the idea that De Lesseps turned into a tangible reality. In this context, the research aims to identify the emergence of the historical exhibition. In addition to publish and study a set of six commemorative medals for the first time, dating back to the opening of the Suez Canal for marine navigation in 1869 AD. As well as a description and analysis of the selected models of these medals from Where the decorations, inscriptions and writings that were engraved on them. Therefore, these medals were of great importance in that they dated the important events that passed through the Suez Canal or the surrounding area before and after the opening of the canal. | ||||
