Abstract | ||
Background: During early months of the COVID-19 pandemic, infection prevention and control (IPC) for women in labor, mothers, newborns during delivery and receiving postpartum care was challenging for staff, patients and support persons due to a relatively lacking of evidence-based practices, high rates of community transmission and shortages of personal protective equipment. Aim of the Study: Compose an IPC policies and practices for Obstetrics & Gynecology (obs.& gyn.) Hospital during COVID-19, in order to minimize risks of infection and protect the safety of patients during this outbreak. Methodology: SWOT analysis, TOWS analysis, Brain Storming. Conclusion: During COVID-19 outbreak IPC policies is essential in hospital. SWOT analysis is important to supply unique information helps in compose IPC protocols. It is mandatory to plan for obs & gyn, hospital to plant IPC program to face this outbreak. This program should be updated regularly to face developing situation and Health Care Workers (HCWs) should be trained on this program. | ||
