Abstract | ||||
The present study aims to discuss and analyze how to strengthen social protection systems for persons with disabilities. . In terms of indicators, one billion people, or 15% of the world's population, suffer from some form of disability. In Egypt, people with disabilities are among the most marginalized and excluded groups of the population, and they often miss public life due to their difficult involvement in the social and material environment, and they are more vulnerable to damage due to crises and disasters. The percentage of people with disabilities in Egypt is approximately 10.6% of the population 5 years and over with disabilities in 2017. There are several elements necessary to build effective social protection for people with disabilities, the most important of which (activating legal frameworks, reviewing institutional frameworks, quality and adaptability) in light of the shift from an approach Care into a rights approach. | ||||
