Abstract | ||||
Abstract The Ministry of Tourism , represented by , Hotel and Tourism Establishment sector, is playing a vital role in improving the quality of the Egyptian hotel product . However, this sector is in crucial need to develop its organizational and administrative aspects. The obstacles which may affect the possibility of applying (The European model to manage excellence) were introduced through five personal interviews which were done with some leading personnel in the Ministry of Tourism. In these interviews the researcher put his questions in accordance with the inputs of the European model of excellence and was keen on giving space to the interviewers to give full and detailed answers. The output of these interviews showed a large gap between the potentials needed in applying the model of excellence and the sector potentials. Especially, by the absence of a legislative frame work that plays an important role in improving the level of services provided in this sector. So, this study recommends the establishment of an institution that works in accordance with the standards of the European model of excellence, and that the sector proposes a legislative frame work that will help in improving the level of services provided. | ||||
