Abstract | ||||
Excellence management is considered a new management concept that has only appeared recently. The European Foundation for Quality Management was published by the European Organization for Quality Control (EOQC) and has proved successful in a variety of international hotel establishments in record time. This study aims at shedding light on the possibility of applying the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) to evaluate hotel performance in Egypt. Quality and excellence management are important operations through which hotels aspire to gain a competitive edge against each other. The results of the study show that the most important recommendations and suggestions are to 1) use a tool to make a plan to train staff and raise their professional standards continuously. 2) It recommends allocating financial and human resources as well as outsourcing experts and specialized training centers to acquire international awards and certificates from the European Organization for Quality Control (EOQC) especially. | ||||
