| Abstract | ||||
| Metaverse technology is an important topic that that interests social media users. Metaverse is a virtual world that allows users to perform any activity that they would not be able to perform in real life, such as working different jobs, traveling to different countries, visiting virtual locations and meeting famous people. This research paper aims to identify the factors affecting Egyptian users of new technologies such as Metaverse. Technology acceptance model (TAM) is used to measure user intention to accept and use a technology. Different versions of TAM were designed by various authors including Extended Technology Acceptance Model (ETAM) and TAM 3.The factors selected in this research paper are Perceived usefulness, Perceived ease of use, Social Influence, Security, Technology availability and Trust. A questionnaire was designed and 661 Facebook users answered said questionnaire. The results demonstrate that Social Influence, Security, Technology Availability and Trust have a positive significant effect on User Intention to Use such technology. On the other hand, Perceived usefulness and Perceived ease of use have a minor impact on User intention. | ||||
