Abstract | ||||
The tripartite association of bean plants VA Fungi and Rhizobium p aseoli was studied in attempt to evaluate this association regarding plant growth. The results of this study reveal that co-inoeulation of mycorrhizal fungi with Rhizobium p < /em>haseoli increased the shoot dry weight, nodulation, accumulated nitrogen and phophorus as well as nitrate reductase activity in bean plants. VA prevented Xanthomonas p 8seoli to infect bean plants and improved plants growth. Nitrogen and phosp,horus accumulation and nitrate reductase activity were also improved . The preserce of mycorrhizal fungi suppressed the population density of the pathogenic bacterium in the mizosphere of bean plants. The mycorrhiza Increased the plant resistance to X. PhBSeoli more prominenUy in the presence of R. phBSeoIi. | ||||
