Abstract | ||||
This study was carried out durtn9 the two seasons of 2001 and 2002. to study the effect of pollir.aUon type ( Mechanically and Hand pollinations) and po'len sources ~li fruit set, f:~i: '1;;a~iy and yield of two date Cl.<ival1t (Se'tV)' and S::.man:,>,). Three pollen sources from Aswan, Ismailia and EIEI-8ahria Oasis were used for this study. Mechanical pollination was the best in case fruit set, while of hand pollination had the highest seed and fruit weight of Sewy and Samany cultival1t. The results indicated thai mechanical and hand pollination had no significantly effect on fruit length, fruit diameler, pulp weighl and fruil chemical properties. The data also Indicated thallsmailla pollen source had a significant effect on physical and chemical fruit properties or Sewy cultivar. 'Nhlle, Aswan pollen source had | ||||
