Abstract | ||||
The study aimed at identifying te level of rural literates refrainment to register in literate classes baseon factors assigned by the study. In addition to clarify the relationship between these factors and some studied variable~ in the area of study. The area of the study is Kom Ayad village- Ashmoon district in Menofia govemorate and Nasseria village in Fayoum district, Fayoum governorate. The reason for selecting the two villages, were the lowest rate in reading and writing (15 years and above). The random sample size drown was 148 in both villages. The data were collected during August 2002 using questionnaire designed for this purpose. Statistical analysis was used to test the hypothesis of the study using T test and person simple correlation coefficient. The study reveled to the following results: -Psrsonal factors with low and high level of refrainment of per~ons in the literate classes were equal especially in Kom Ayad villag~. while in Nasseria village in Fayoum was moderate and high. -The effect of social factors with low and high level of refrainment refrainment on joining in the literate classes was low level in om Ayad and moderate level in Naseria village. - Testing the effect of educational factors with level of refrainment of joining literate classes was low in Kom Ayad and moderate in Nasseria ",Wage. -The most important independent variables related to the factors Of refusal of joining literate classes were: Farm size Animal farm size Machinery size Home equipment size Cosmopolitance Membership in NGOs. The study reached to some recommendations that c~uld be benefited. These recommendations include: 1-Coordination between working in the field of literacy. 2-Focus on women illiteracy. | ||||
