Abstract | ||||
In the present study, we discuss some of the stylistic features of the Tuareg society. Therefore, we have selected the famous Tuareg trilogy by the Canarian author Alberto Vázquez-Figueroa, which leaves an indelible mark on contemporary Spanish narrative. Hence, it is evident to follow an analytical inductive method with the object of selecting and typifying a class of phraseological units, particularly the sentence formulas extracted from the definitive corpus. Thus, we find, on the one hand, the relevant recurrence of the sayings, the proverbs and in addition to the sayings with the purpose of transmitting to us a realistic image of the Tuareg culture. On the other hand, we note the absolute representativeness of the Arabisms, that is, the words of Arabic origin in the contemporary Spanish narrative of Alberto Vázquez-Figueroa to indicate his fascination for the desert and the race belonging to the Tuaregs. | ||||
