| Abstract | ||||
| This research is a pragma-stylistic reading of the symbols and style of Kurt Vonnegut’s Slaughterhouse-Five. It presents a review of stylistics field and its parameters of applied linguistics. It points out the symbols and ironical style, revealing the use of narrative style and its special effects on presenting the theme of the novel. It aims to show how Kurt Vonnegut is very skillful in using language to draw an affective picture in the mind of his readers by using the different stylistic tools. He uses narrative and symbolic ironic style to deliver his ideas in a sarcastic way and simple style as well. هذا البحث عبارة عن قراءة تداولية أسلوبية في رموز وأسلوب "المذبح-خمسة" لکيرت ڤونيجت. يقدم مراجعة لعلم الأسلوبية ومعاييره في علم اللغة التطبيقي. و يشير إلى الأسلوب الساخر من خلال استخدام الرموز. يعرض البحث استخدام أسلوب السرد وتأثيراته المتميزة في عرض موضوع الرواية. و يهدف إلى إظهار کيف أن کيرت ڤونيجت ماهر جدًا في استخدام اللغة لرسم صورة درامية في ذهن قرائه باستخدام الأدوات الأسلوبية المختلفة. يستخدم الأسلوب السردى والرمزي الساخر لإيصال أفکاره بطريقة ساخرة وأسلوب بسيط أيضًا. | ||||
