Abstract The aviation, travel, and tourism as a whole industry has become at the forefront of other industries, having no choice but to face the challenge of identifying new and emerging technologies that have the potential to improve the passenger experience and optimize flight operations efficiency. The current paper aims mainly to explore the applied digital transformation technologies at the Egyptian airports, analyzing the current situation of the Egyptian airports' operation business model towards digital transformation, demonstrating the core activated digital technologies at the Egyptian airports, defining the core aspects of digital transformation strategy aspects, and moreover, identifying the opportunities and challenges within the Egyptian airports' digital transformation journey. For that sake, this research adapted a method of descriptive analytical methodology by using a focus group open interview tool. The sample was the Egyptian airports holding company ICT sector. The research reached several results, the most important of which is that the technology is the company best choice to which it pays attention as a directing way for achieving the travel facility and security. Moreover, the airports activating digital technology safety and passenger service systems. The research thus recommended that should support Egyptian airports digital unites to fulfill digital transformation journey in addition to bolstering major departments which interact directly with passengers to raise digital passenger experience awareness specially marketing and sales managements. | ||||
