Abstract
The research deals with highlighting the method of reusing and rehabilitating valuable buildings to suit (new/used) functions as an entry point for preserving them and for sustainable development. There are many valuable heritage buildings in the Arab Republic of Egypt, and this requires us to preserve this wealth and highlight their artistic and historical aspects (and the temporal changes that have passed through them), as these buildings are exposed to a lot of neglect, misuse, and ignorance of their value, whether on the historical, archaeological, or architectural side. From this standpoint, it is necessary to focus on this issue and work to address it and find different means and methods to restore, maintain, manage, preserve, and invest in them in a new way and with a new thinking that suits technological development. Rehabilitating and using valuable buildings has become a responsibility that contributes to preserving the past so that the children of the future can see them, as they are the link or the knotted link in a chain of human sequence between what is past and what is to come. Therefore, we find that since man became aware of the historical inevitability of the past, present, and future, he has tried to record it and preserve his past so that the future can see it, and it has become a reflection of the human civilizational identity (his past, present, and future). يتناول البحث إبراز أسلوب إعادة الاستخدام والتأهيل المبنى ذو القيمة ليلائم وظائف (مستحدثة /مستخدمة) كمدخل للحفاظ عليه وللتنمية المستدامة وتتوفر فى جمهورية مصر العربية العديد من المباني التراثية ذات القيمة وهذا يتطلب منا الحفاظ على تلك الثروة وابراز الجوانب الفنية والتاريخية بها (والتغير الزمنى الذي مر عليها) حيث أن تلك المباني تتعرض للكثير من الاهمال وسوء الاستعمال والجهل بقيمتها سواء على الجانب التاريخي أو الأثري أو المعماري. ومن هذا المنطلق وجب التركيز على تلك القضية والعمل على معالجتها وايجاد وسائل وأساليب مختلفة لترميمها وصيانتها وادارتها والمحافظة عليها واستثمارها بطريقة وبفكر جديد بما يلائم التطور التكنولوجي أصبحت إعادة تأهيل واستخدام المباني ذات القيمة مسئولية تساهم في الحفاظ على الماضي لكي يراها أبناء المستقبل فهما همزة الوصل أو كالحلقة المعقودة في سلسلة من التتابع الإنساني بين ما هو ماض وما هو آت، لذلك نجد أنه مذ وعى الانسان الحتمة التاريخية للماضي والحاضر والمستقبل حاول تسجيله والحفاظ على ماضيه ليراه المستقبل وأصبح يعكس الهوية الحضارية للإنسان (ماضيه وحاضره ومستقبله).
