Abstract | ||||
The concept of Architectural and Urban Heritage preservation expresses a comprehensive result of a process associated with the development of conteporary societies and their cultural values, in away that is commensurate with their current and future requirements . The rapid changes that the world is currently witnessing directly affect all aspects of life, and reflect on the urban environment with all its heritage values and historical landmarks. What concerns us here are those negative impacts on urban heritage in the absence of successful, and clear development plans to preserve it. Therefore, the research studies and analyzes how to develop urbanization in historical areas, by reviewing some fundamental definitions, necessary studies to preserve and improve the urban heritage of historical areas, scientific and practical methods for their development and financing, preparing the executive plans for development projects, community participation, and how to develope heritage urbanism through re-recruitment and employment. The research also analyzes a number of global and local experiences in order to reach the obtained lessons in formulating a proposed approach to develop the urbanization of historical areas. Finally, the research concludes some important results and recommendations . | ||||
