| Fisheries (which includes the management, catching, processing and marketing of fish stocks) and aquaculture (the farming of fish) provide an important source of food, employment, income and recreation for people throughout the world. Millions of people depend upon fish for their livelihoods. Artisanal or small-scale fisheries are important worldwide contributing more than 25% of global marine landings. Monthly length composition data (Total length) of kawakawa (Euthynnus affinis), which landed between January and December 2020 in the Coastal Waters of the Mediterranean coast of North Sinai Egypt were used to estimate the length-weight relationship, condition factor, age and growth. The computed length-weight relationship (W = 0.0186 L 2.8595) showed a negative isometric growth pattern. The average condition factor was 1.12 and the relative condition factor was 1.01. The growth parameters of the von Bertalanffy equation were estimated as L∞=87.67.2 cm, K= 0.24 per year and tо = -0.56 per year. This study strongly recommended minimizing the fishing activities of E. affinis in the Eastern Mediterranean | ||||
