Abstract | ||||
The main objective of this research was to study the impact of some variables on knowledge: and the adoption level of local leaders and followers about new agricultural recommendations in Sidi Gazi village. Kafr EI-Sheikh district, Kafr EI-Sheikh governorate. A questionnaire was used to collect data needed for this research through personal interviews with 143 farmers in Sidi Gazi village. Kafr El-Sheikh district Kafr El-Sheikh governorate. The results of this research Indicated that: 1. There were significant differences between local leaders and followers concerning knowledge and adoption levels of new agricultural recom-mendations of sugar beet crop. There was a statistical relation between most of the studied inde-pendent variables and knowledge as well as adoption levels of local leaders and followers. These variables explained about 73.3%, 42% of the variance on the level of local leaders and followers knowledge. These independent variables also explained about 40.2%. 41% of the variance on the level of leaders and followers adoption. 2. There were significant differences between local leaders and followers concerning the knowledge and adoption levels of new agricultural rec-ommendations of wheat crop. There was a statistical relation between most of the studied inde-pendent variables and knowledge as well as adoption levels of local leaders and followers. Those variables explained about 61.2%. 49.2% of the variance on the level of local leaders and followers knowledge these inde-pendent variables also explained about 64.7%. 41.1% of the variance on the level of leaders and followers adoption. | ||||
