| Abstract | ||||
| This research analyzes implicature in Twain’s A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court. It aims at examining how Twain uses implicature for discovering the figurative use of the language through the language choice to understand its effect on the readers. Implicature is a means of expressing a message indirectly. Speech act is a way of expressing human’s thought through words. When an utterance is produced, it is not merely a combination of words. However, it has a deeper intention. Through the use of metaphor, humor, irony, and paradox, Twain offers a critique of the nineteenth century through a sixth-century lens. The novel explores the relationship between science and literature as manifested in Mark Twain’s late nineteenth-century. Humor in literature as a stylistic choice can have various implications ranging from merely seeking يهدف هذا البحث إلي تحليل برجماتي وأسلوبي لـرواية مارک توين "يانکي من کونيتيکت في بلاط الملک آرثر" ومعرفة کيفية استخدام توين للتضمين اللغوي لفهم تأثيره على القراء. فالتضمين اللغوي هو وسيلة للتعبير بشکل غير مباشر عن الأفکار من خلال الکلمات. عندما يتم إنتاج الکلام ، فالکلام ليس مجرد مجموعة من الکلمات, بل لديها معنى أعمق. من خلال استخدام الکناية والفکاهة والسخرية ، يقدم توين نقدًاعن القرن التاسع عشر من خلال القرن السادس. تستکشف الرواية العلاقة بين العلم والأدب کما تجلى في أواخر القرن التاسع عشر لمارک توين اذ يمکن أن يکون للفکاهة دور في إمتاع الجمهور إلى جانب الرغبة في تعزيز نوع من التغيير في المجتمع وکل ذلک في إطار المعنى الضمني والتضمين اللغوي الذي يستخدم | ||||
