Abstract | ||||
The utility of cinnamoylacetonitrile and chloroacetylcinnamates, as activated benzylideneacetones, in facile synthesis of difficulty accessible functional pyridines, furans and pyrans is presented here. Biomass-derived chemicals as furfural, gallic, benzoic, cinnamates, and acetone derivatives were used. The structures of all new synthesized compounds were confirmed on the basis of spectral analysis, IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, and MS spectroscopy. | ||||
