| Abstract | ||
| War is one of the most important causes of transformation in the societal structure, as it contributes to the process of reshaping of cultural patterns. Theater is considered one of the most prominent entities affected by the artistic and political arena. In this context, we should not forget to refer to the wars and the political and societal crises that resulted in the shock technique or what is known as “in yer face theatre” in the field of theatrical artistic construction. This technique relied on employing artistic structures and dramatic forms that aim to undermine the cultural and political structure by reshaping the artistic one. "Zukak Company" in Lebanon is considered one of the theatrical groups that resorted to the mechanism of “in yer face theatre” to shed light on the political as well as the societal contemporary systems. Zukak is considered a traveling theater troupe that declared its rebellion against cultural centralism and the traditional stereotype of theatrical art. | ||
