Abstract | ||||
This paper studies the solution of stochastic linear vibration under random initial conditions and random excitation. This solution becomes a random process characterized by the statistical moments. The statistical moments can be obtained directly from the deterministic solution when the excitation force is expressed as a product of deterministic function and a pure function of random variable. The case of harmonic excitation force is studied which is very important in base excitation problems and other applications. | ||||
