Abstract | ||||
This paper deals with the problem of predicting the sth ordered observation X, in a sample of size n from one-parameter exponential distribution, based on the first (r - k + 1) ordered observations (Doubly Type-II censoring (0 ≤ k < r < s ≤ n)). It is shown how to find an interval estimate for X(S) and how the result can be used to predict the remaining elapsed time in certain life test experiments involving items whose life times follow an exponential distribution. | ||||
