Abstract | ||||
This paper discusses the consequence of using simple random sample formula instead of the proper formulae to estimate error in complex sample designs. Emphasis is placed on determining the conditions under which this procedure can lead to misleading conclusions. A simulation study confirmed the (analytical) established conditions and suggested new ones. | ||||
