Abstract | ||||
Least squares estimation of the unknown parameters of the linear regression model with censored data from the right has been discussed by many authors. The censored values are replaced by their expectations and the residual sum of squares is minimized with respect to the unknown regression parameters. We suggested two approximate values for the expected values of the censored observations. The expected values of censored data will also be estimated using some methods of estimating the missing data. A numerical illustration will be carried out to illustrate these approximations and to compare the new suggestions and the old ones. | ||||
