Abstract | ||||
In the present investigation we prove that any sequence of order statistics, with nondecreasing variable rank sequence, is mixing in the sense of Renyi. This result is applied to investigate, under general conditions, the weak convergence of the normalized intermediate order statistics with random sample size. | ||||
