Abstract | ||||
The structural probability distributions of the parameters of the three-parameter generalized gamma distribution are derived by using two different approaches based on the structural model. In the process we compare the structural methods of inference with the classical model that is employed to obtain conditional confidence intervals by means of pivotal functions and ancillary statistics and reveal their similarities and differences. An example is given to illustrate the structural densities of this paper. | ||||
