| Abstract | ||
| ABSTRACT This paper introduces a software program written in Matlab programming language for the identification and analysis of harmonics in power systems using the Genetic Algorithm (GA) as an optimization technique. The program overcomes a major pitfall of the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT); the spectral leakage. Simulated waveforms were used to test the program. The results obtained were in the form of the Fourier series (magnitudes and phases) with high accuracy. | ||
