| Abstract | ||
| The evaluation of a health-care building's architectural product is dependent upon its ability to meet the expectations of its many user groups, which encompass patients, patient families, and health-care staff members. This study focuses on the architectural qualities of inpatient facilities, specifically examining how the concept of quality care may be applied to enhance the quality of health-care buildings. The research aims to evaluate the quality concept and components of health-care buildings from the perspective of patient-centered design. employs the isovist theory to examine individuals' perceptions of their environment and investigates the manner in which humans see their surroundings. Indeed, a post-occupancy evaluation process is conducted on three different case studies of inpatient departments, each featuring a different configuration of nursing station layouts. The objective is to investigate the impact of spatial design on the perception of inpatients. the visibility as experienced by users in the day-to-day operation of the hospital. | ||
