Abstract
ملخص: يهدف الباحث إلى دراسة هذه القطعة من الطين المحروق، المحفوظة حاليا بالمخزن المتحفي بالأشمونين، وهناك احتمالان حول نوع هذه القطعة، فمن المتحمل أنها تعبر عن تمثال تراكوتا لرجل وزوجته متكئين على أريكة، ويرتكز كل منهما على شقه الأيسر، أما الوظيفة الأخرى المحتملة لهذه القطعة هي أن تكون مسرجة جنائزية غير مستخدمة؛ نظرًا لعدم وجود آثار حرق على الفوهة، وعادة يقتصر دور المسارج على الإضاءة داخل المنازل، ولكن هناك استخدام آخر للمسارج، وهو الاستخدام الجنائزي داخل المقابر وكذلك الاستخدام النذري، وقد ركز الباحث على وظيفة هذه القطعة بوصفها جزءًا من المأدبة الجنائزية التي كانت تقام على شرف المتوفى، من خلال مقارنتها بمناظر المآدب في الفن في مصر خلال العصرين البطلمي والروماني، أو مناظر المآدب الجنائزية خارج مصر، وما يزيد من صعوبة تحديد وظيفة القطعة هو أن الجزء العلوي مفقود، وهو الذي يشمل الرأس والرقبة، حيث قام الباحث ببعض المقارنات التي يمكن أن تساعد في محاولة لتحديد ماهية القطعة ووظيفتها. Abstract: The researcher aims to study an unpublished object from burnt clay; that is currently preserving in El-Ashmounin Magazine. There are two possibilities about the type of this piece. It is possible that it represents of a terracotta statue of a man and his wife reclining on a couch, each of them resting on his left side. The other possible function of this piece is as an unused funerary lamp; since there are no traces of burning on the nozzle, the role of the lamps is usually limited to lighting indoors, but there is another function for the lamps which is the funerary use inside the tombs, as well as the votive use, and the researcher focused on the function of this piece; as part of the funeral banquet that was held in honor of the deceased, by comparing it with scenes of banquets in art in Ptolemaic and Roman Egypt, or scenes of funeral banquets outside Egypt. Trying to define what the piece is and its function.
