Abstract | ||||
Two field experiments were conducted at Moshtohor region, Kalubia Governorate, Egypt, during 2019/20 and 2020/21 seasons, to study the effect of four organic N (compost) + nano-N treatments (Control, Organic N, Nano-N and Organic N+Nano-N) and four levels of mineral N fertilizer (0, 15, 30 and 45 kg N fed-1) on growth characters, yield and yield components as well as nutritive value of naked barley. The experimental design was Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) using split-plot arrangement with four replications. The four nitrogen organic and nano treatments were allocated with main plots and four mineral nitrogen fertilizer levels were randomly distributed in the sub plots. The area of sub plot was 3.5mx3m= 10.5 m2 (1/400 fed). The main results were as follows: Organic N+Nano-N treatment gave the highest values of all studied traits and significantly affected except harvest index in first and second seasons. Meanwhile, 45 kg N fed-1 level gave the highest values of all studied traits compared with the other levels and increased significantly in both seasons. Regarding the interaction effect, between organic N + Nano-N and mineral N fertilizer levels were significant differences of No. spikelets spike-1, No. grains spike-1 and grain yield fed-1 in the first season and plant height in the second season, while, spike weight in both seasons was significant differences. It can be concluded that applied organic N+nano-N and fertilized by 50 or 75 kg N fed-1 produced the height yield productivity under the conditions of this experiment. | ||||
