| الملخص: مارس المصريون القدماء الطب بطرق احترافية للغاية، وكان لديهم معُرفة متقدمة فى علم التشريح والجراحة؛ وطبقاً لسمات الثقافة المصرية فقد قاموا أيضاً بمعالجة الكثير من الأمراض بما فى ذلك الأمراض النسائية والجهاز الهضمى، وتم وصف الكثير من أمراض الأجهزة الهضمية والتنفسية والدورة الدموية والعضلية بالتفصيل ويمكنهم تشخيص السرطان؛ وسوف نُلقى نظرة فاحصة على بعض أساسيات ومصادر الخلفية التاريخية للتطور الطبى لدى المصريين القدماء ومدى معُرفتهم لأسباب انتشار الأمراض بالجسد، وهل توصل إلى ما يُطلق عليه الأوعية الدموية Vascular Vessels بمفهومها الصحيح ودورها الوظيفى، حيث تمكن المعالجون المصريون من تحديد حالة تلك الأوعية عن طريق فحص نبض المريض، فقد يعد توازن هذه الحركة حيوى لصحة الإنسان كتوازن فيضان النيل الذى ريه حيوى لمصر؛ فإذا كانت تلك الأوعية مسدودة بسبب أشياء غريبة أو ضارة (ويخيدو) يحدث المرض وقد تتخلل هذه الأمور إلى الجسد من خلال الجروح أو الفتحات الطبيعية، كما حددوا وظيفة القلب وعلاقته بنوعى الأوعية الدموية. The role of Mato mtw and its effect on the human body in ancient Egyptian thought Abstract: Ancient Egyptians practiced medicine professionally. They had advanced methods in surgery and anatomy. They treated a lot of diseases, including gynecological diseases and those related to the digestive system. They described many digestive, respiratory, circulatory, and muscular diseases in detail. They could diagnose cancer. We are going to delve deeply into some fundamentals of their knowledge, with the historical background of the medical development in Ancient Egypt. We are going to discuss as well their knowledge concerning the causes of those diseases, and above all, if they knew what is called vascular vessels in the right sense and their functional role. It is noticeable that physicians in ancient Egypt examined these vessels through the patients’ pulses as they knew the importance of this indicator to human well-being. They compared that to the Nile flood. They thought that in case these vessels were blocked by some harmful substances, diseases would appear. Such harmful substances could penetrate the body through wounds. They could determine as well the functions of the heart and its relation with the blood vessels. | ||||
