| Abstract | ||||
| The research revolves around the development of the term Caliphate in Ottoman sources through Ottoman manuscripts and documents. The term Caliphate served the Ottomans, who benefited greatly from it to unify ranks in the face of the great powers, raise the banner of Islam, and confront the Western threat that threatens the entity of the state. Consequently, the Europeans worked to sow discord and plot conspiracies against the authority of the Caliphate until they overthrew it through Western support for the Ottoman and military intellectuals, and military and cultural coups began against the Ottoman Caliphate. By decreeing the regulations, the new intellectuals among the officials reduced the authority of the Ottoman Caliph within the country, and filled the positions with officers and intellectuals who were intellectually foreign; these colonial policies produced results, including the entry of the Ottoman Empire itself into the First World War. After a major defeat, the leaders of the Union and Progress group fled outside the country, and the Ottoman Caliph, Sultan Wahid al-Din Khan, sought to find solutions to these emergency situations. Accordingly, Mustafa Kemal Pasha, who had gained the trust of the Sultan-Caliph, went with a special commission from the Sultan to organize the national resistance in Anatolia, and while he repeated his loyalty to the Caliph in conferences and in front of influential figures, when he assumed power, he declared that Sultan had betrayed him as a traitor. Then he abolished the sultanate system and declared the republic, and after a short period he abolished the caliphate. The ruling family was exiled. Thus, the biggest barrier facing the colonial countries was removed, which is the Caliphate. If the internal cadres had been raised in Islam, they would not have engaged in such a change that served the policies of the colonial Western countries. يدور البحث حول تطور مصطلح الخلافة في المصادر العثمانية وذلك من خلال مخطوطات ووثائق عثمانية، وقد خدم مصطلح الخلافة، العثمانيين الذين استفادوا منه كثيرا لتوحيد الصفوف في مواجهة القوى العظمى ورفع راية الإسلام والتصدي للخطر الغربي الذي يهدد كيان الدولة ،وبالتالي عمل الأوروبيون على زرع الفتنة وتدبير المؤامرات لسلطة الخلافة حتى أسقطوها من خلال الدعم الغربي للمثقفين العثمانيين والعسكريين وبدأت الإنقلابات العسكرية والثقافية ضد الخلافة العثمانية، و بفرمان التظيمات ، قام المثقفون الجدد من المسؤولين بتقليص سلطة الخليفة العثماني داخل البلاد، وملأوا الوظائف بالضباط والمثقفين المستغربين فكريا، أسفرت هذه السياسات الاستعمارية عن نتائج، منها دخول الدولة العثمانية نفسها في دائرة الحرب العالمية الأولى. وبعد هزيمة كبيرة، هرب قادة جماعة الاتحاد والترقي خارج البلاد، وسعى الخليفة العثماني، السلطان وحيد الدين خان، إلى إيجاد حلول لهذه الأوضاع الطارئة. على ذلك توجه مصطفى كمال باشا، الذي نال ثقة السلطان الخليفة، بتكليف خاص من السلطان لتنظيم المقاومة الوطنية في الأناضول، وبينما كان يكرر الولاء للخليفة في المؤتمرات وأمام الشخصيات المؤثرة، إلا أنه عندما تولى السلطة، أعلن أن السلطان وحيد الدين خان خائنًا. ثم ألغى النظام السلطاني وأعلن الجمهورية، وبعد فترة قصيرة ألغى الخلافة. ونفيت العائلة الحاكمة. وبذلك تمت إزالة الحاجزالأكبر أمام الدول الاستعمارية، ألا وهو الخلافة ، لو كانت الكوادر الداخلية قد تم تربيتها على الإسلام، لم تكن لتنخرط في مثل هذا التغيير الذي خدم سياسات الدول الغربية الاستعمارية. | ||||
