Abstract | ||||
Zinc ferrite nanoparticles (ZnFe2O4) has been prepared by sol–gel combustion method. Different techniques as SEM, FTIR and EDX techniques were used to characterize the obtained material. The adsorption factors have been optimized. The adsorption capacity of uranium attained 350 mg/g that accords with Langmuir isotherm (357 mg/g). The adsorption process is following pseudo second order reaction. The uranium stripping efficiency from the load Zinc ferrite nanoparticles fulfilled 99.8% at 1 hr. equilibrium time and a phase ratio (S/A) of 0.1 g/10 ml of 1 mol/l H2SO4. | ||||
