Abstract | ||||
Whole blood selenium Level was found to be significantly low in calves naturally affected wits, NMD. On inducing the disease experimentally among euaesing buffalo-calves, using cod Jiuer oh) (OIL), gradual decrease was observed in whole blood selenium levels in both CLO and CI plus vitamin E treated groups. Inclusion of selenium and selenium plus vitamin Z to CLO treated groups, was accompanied with vradual increase in whole blood nelenitus level. 4. One of unexpected finding in our etudy fe that selenium plays the same role of Vitamin-Z in protecting calves from dystrophic action of cod liver oil. | ||||
