| This research directly addresses the key findings of socio-political issues in David Finkel's "The Good Soldiers" and Ben Fountain's "Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk.". The research focuses on discussions about war writing, the trauma hero, and the broader context of veterans and war-writing, and they delve into specific analyses or findings from these two works. To provide a comprehensive analysis of the socio-political issues in "The Good Soldiers" and "Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk," it was necessary to directly examine these texts and their themes, including the portrayal of war, the experiences of soldiers, and the impact of these experiences on society and politics. These novels, being works of fiction, offer rich narratives that can be analyzed for their depiction of war, its effects on individuals, and its broader implications for society and politics. This research went through a detailed analysis of: 1. Examining the narrative structure and character development in both novels to understand how they portray the experiences of soldiers. 2.
