Abstract | ||||
Background: By contrasting the impacts of septal and conchal collumellar strut on nasal aesthetics, this study sought to assess the capacity of conchal collumellar strut to sustain nasal support. Methods: This study included 12 patients underwent a septal columellar strut (group A) compared to 12 patients underwent a conchal columellar strut (group B). Results: Among study participants, no statistically significant difference (p-value > 0.05) between studied groups (Ear cartilage and septal cartilage groups) was found as regard SHONS score before the intervention. Similarly, after the procedures no statistical significant difference (p-value > 0.05) between studied groups (Ear cartilage and septal cartilage groups) as regard SCHNOS score. Conclusion: The tip projection and rotation in patients with septal columellar strut and those with conchal columellar strut both exhibit the same changes with no significant differences between both groups when followed-up for 6 months postoperative. Also, no significant difference regarding patients satisfaction between the two techniques. | ||||
