| Abstract | ||||
| The study aims to shed light on the effect of punitive supervision on rumination among employees of five-star hotels. It also investigates the mediating role of the coworker's dark triad traits (Machalleivian, psychopathy, and narcissism) in the relationship between punitive supervision and rumination. A total of 385 valid responses were obtained from employees of five-star hotels in Greater Cairo. The collected data were analyzed using ADANCO v.2.4 software. Structural equation modeling findings also revealed a positive and significant effect of punitive supervision on the narcissistic personality, while results indicated the absence of positive and significant effect of punitive supervision on Machiavellian and psychopathic personalities. With regard to the mediating role of dark triad personality, results showed a positive and significant effect of narcissism on psychological rumination among hotel employees. Findings also indicated a positive and significant effect of Machiavellian personality on psychological rumination, as well as a positive and significant effect of psychopathic personality on psychological rumination among employees working at targeted hotels. | ||||
