Abstract | ||||
The study aims to shed light on the importance of geographic information and its circulation through portals, the nature of geographic information portals, their architecture, categories, functions, and services, and to monitor Arab initiatives related to geospatial information management, while presenting the Egyptian experience of managing geospatial information through the Egyptian Geospatial Information Portal, and the extent to which the portal makes information available and circulated. For the Egyptian community, the study relied on the case study approach and the descriptive analytical approach to describe and analyze the portal’s website according to the electronic portals evaluation model (PQM) to determine the quality of the portal in providing electronic services. The results of the study revealed the following - the availability and circulation of information and electronic government services represented in the Egyptian government (information). Statistics and geospatial information), through the Egypt Geospatial Information Portal, the first Egyptian geospatial portal, allows all data users to see Egypt with all its sectors represented on geographical maps for the lowest administrative level, and basic electronic services are accessible to all citizens. The quality of the Egyptian Geospatial Information Portal was 58.3%, which is a fairly good percentage that indicates the quality of the portal. | ||||
