Abstract | ||||
This research aimed to detect the relationship between sensory integration and communication skills in children with autism spectrum disorder, detect differences in sensory integration and communication skills in children with autism spectrum disorder by age stage, and the predictability of communication skills in children with autism spectrum disorder by their sensory integration, the research sample consisted of (30) children with autism spectrum, their IQ was over than (80), their age was between (6-12) years, males (22) with age mean (9. 56) year and standard deviation (1.65) year, females (8) with age mean (8.12) year and deviation (2.09) year, the research tools included The Autism Spectrum Disorder Diagnostic Scale for Children (Prepared by Abdulaziz Al-Sayed Al-Shakhas, 2019), the Sensory Integration Scale for children with autism spectrum disorder (Prepared by/ the researcher), and the Communication Skills Scale for children with autism spectrum disorder (Prepared by/ Mushira Fathy Salama, Sawsan Ismail Abdel-Hady, Asma Abdel-Moneim Ibrahim & Mohamed Ahmed Khattab, 2016), the research results revealed that there is a positive statically relationship between sensory integration and communication skills in children with autism spectrum disorder, there are differences in sensory integration and communication skills in children with autism spectrum disorder by age stage for the older children, and there is a predictability of communication skills in children with autism spectrum disorder by their sensory integration. | ||||
