Abstract | ||||
In today's digital era, technology plays an indispensable role in all areas of life, and language education is also benefiting increasingly from digital media. It is observed that in Egypt, too, more and more learners are utilizing digital media, particularly mobile phones, in foreign language instruction. Nowadays, there are numerous mobile applications that enable language learning independent of time and location. The aim of this paper is to determine to what extent mobile language learning apps support Egyptian students in learning and practicing German grammar. To assess the value of these apps for the teaching of German grammar in the Egyptian university context, a quantitative study is conducted. Both learners and German language teachers will be surveyed to gain insights into their use of apps for teaching and learning German grammar. Based on this, a current specific app for German grammar will be analyzed as an example and possible applications in grammar lessons will be suggested. The teaching of German grammar is the focal point of this study, as it is the area that is most commonly associated with difficulties, aversion, or even anxiety for many individuals who teach or learn German. | ||||
