Abstract | ||||
This study aims to identify the extent to which the role of governance is activated for the purpose of improving the quality of performance, and the extent of its impact on the digital economy considering the regulating legal legislation, and through the relevant organizational divisions included in the organizational structure of one of the governmental and international units. To achieve this goal, the researchers relied on theoretical grounding through the inductive approach and the deductive approach, from books, references, and Arab and foreign studies, and then conducted a field study by designing a survey list related to all the different functional levels of executive, supervisory, leadership, and senior management in the study community. A number of questionnaires were distributed. (400) survey lists were retrieved from (369) lists from the study population, with a response rate of 92.95%, for the target categories of repetitive, supervisory, and leadership positions, The results indicated the necessity of working to activate the role of governance and concerting all efforts to spread a culture of disclosure and transparency, in order to improve the quality of government performance and the country’s digital economy, and to emphasize the importance of having an effective mechanism for application and technical follow-up of developments in problems that may arise. The study concluded that there is a fundamental correlation. There is a direct correlation between governance mechanisms, performance quality, and the goals of the digital economy. The study recommended continuous improvement of the application of governance mechanisms, and follow-up of everything related to governance mechanisms, with the need for senior management to pay attention to providing the necessary financial and technical support to improve performance, spread the culture of digitization, and ensure the concerted efforts of all efforts to maximize value, Practical research to introduce the digital economy. | ||||
