Abstract | ||||
Imam Muhammad Abdo is a person known for insight, diligence, innovation and enlightenment while living with reality and life experiences. Therefore, he had his opinions except validity in the issue of polygamy, based on the fact that it is not an origin of the religion in which diligence and renewal can be made. Therefore, he stated that Islamic Sharia has suspended the permissibility of polygamy on the condition of achieving justice. He emphasized that many of those who are plural do not achieve justice between wives, but rather their motive is to obtain pleasure and lust. Sheikh Muhammad Abdah mentioned the negative repercussions of pluralism on the family and society, where the mistreatment of wives by men in plural marriage prevailed and depriving them of their rights. Permitting polygamy for one necessity, which is if the wife is sterile. Imam Muhammad Abdo presented his reformist vision, which did not limit the discussion of the problem of polygamy to the personal aspect or to the religious aspect only, but was able to discuss and explain this problem in an explanation that fits with the position given by Islam to women. Therefore, judges and scholars were invited to Intervention to limit this problem and restrict it and not allow it except for necessity or reason with the availability of justice that Islam stipulated. | ||||
