Abstract | ||||
Al-Tahtawi was the pioneer of enlightenment in the modern era and the leader of the Renaissance thought and the initiator of a movement. He took a logical position on polygamy when he considered it an objectionable matter and that it is desirable to limit oneself to one wife. To him and not be considered hated or hated because of the strife، discord and disadvantages that fall on the family and society، so he says: Do not marry against your wife unless you settle yourself on the toil of eternity. Rifa'a al-Tahtawi had a personal position on polygamy، which is a practical and applied position when he wrote a letter to his wife in which he committed loyalty and loyalty to his wife and pledged to her in writing that he would not marry another woman over her. The relationship between a man and his wife، which must be based on good choice، love and respect، and that a perfect man sees his wife with dignity and respect. | ||||
